Zwolle Tamales - Mild
The recipe for the Original Zwolle Tamale is from an old Indian recipe consisting mainly of ground corn, pork & a variety of spices wrapped in corn shucks. Tamales make a great appetizer or side dish. Fully cooked, simply heat & serve!
Option: Hot or Mild
1 dozen per package
Steaming: remove tamales from bag and steam for approximately 20-30 minutes. Let stand for 3 minutes and then serve. If thawed, reduce steaming time to 10-15 minutes.
Microwave: make small puncture in top of bag. Heat on high for 3-6 minutes (due to power variances between microwave units, products may need additional heating time to individual taste.) Let stand for 2 minutes before serving. If thawed, reduce heating time to 2-3 minutes.
Ingredients: Ground Corn, Cooked Pork, Lard, Water, Textured Vegetable Protein (Soy Flour, Caramel Color, Zinc Oxide, Ferrous Sulfate, Niacinamide, Calcium Panthothenate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Vitamin A Palmitate, Vitamin B12), Pork Broth, Salt, Garlic Powder, Crushed Red Pepper, Paprika, Black Pepper, and Cayenne Pepper
Wow y’all are the best one day service fresh thanks so much will order again I guarantee awsome meal in ohio
5 stars! I know what authentic tamales taste like, and I was very surprised that these pre-packaged ones were so close to the real thing! They are smaller than the ones I was raised on, but the flavor and texture are perfect. I'll be ordering more.
They were send these from Louisiana all the way to Hawaii within 2 days!! Frozen and all. my husband was upset I didn't get more.
These have been a holiday tradition for years. Delicious tamales. Unfortunately LCC has just about raised the price beyond what I'm willing to pay so this may well be our last year to have Zwolle tamales for Christmas.
For the past several months I have been purchasing your tamales from Hi Nabor Supermarket on Jones Creek Road. Had parties for friends and convinced everyone to buy them--but now for the past couple of weeks the shelf is bare! The supermarket mgr informed me they are brought in by a vendor. Could you please check on this for me and see if they can be delivered agsin. Their label is still on the shelf in the frozen foods department. Thanks!
I used to get these tamales at the local Walmart store when I lived in Shreveport. I love them and have missed being able to find them. Now I see I can order them here. That's super. Yummy!
