Grilled Oyster Kits - Garlic Parmesan Butter - 1 dozen
One dozen shucked Gulf Oysters in the half shell topped with our classic Garlic Parmesan compound butter. These delicious oysters are the classic version of charbroiled/grilled oysters made famous in South Louisiana restaurants.
Keep Oyster Kit frozen until ready to cook.
(Store in freezer for up to six months or until date stamped on package.)
Thaw under Refrigeration- Pull the Oyster Kit from the freezer and thaw in the refrigerator before cooking. (Oyster kits can be safely stored for 3-4 days in the refrigerator after being properly thawed.)
Prepare Oyster Kit for Grill- Remove Oyster Kit from the refrigerator and allow it to come to a room temperature about 30 minutes before cooking. Preheat the grill to medium/high or preheat the oven to 400 degrees while the oyster kit is coming to temperature. For best results, butter should be completely thawed and soft -- but do not leave the Oyster Kit out of refrigeration longer than needed to soften the butter.
Cook Oysters- Grill over direct heat for 5-6 minutes until the oysters are cooked and the butter is melted. (Note: This will take longer if oysters are frozen or if butter is still cold.) Watch the oysters during the grilling process as the utter will melt and may cause flames to erupt on the grill. Take care not to burn the oysters. If baking, place oysters on an oven-safe baking sheet and bake for 6-8 minutes until cooked and butter is melted. Place oysters carefully on the grill or pan to keep the butter for spilling our of the shell.
Bon Appetit! Serve your oysters right away on a heat-safe plate or platter and enjoy with crusty French bread to mop up the butter! Pro Tip: Use rock salt on your serving platter to make a bed for your grilled oysters.
